Meaningful, well-written product descriptions are no longer just a nice-to-have in online trading business. Both Google algorithms and the requirements of potential customers are becoming increasingly sophisticated. This is forcing companies to invest time and money in high-quality content. Many companies are now switching to automated texts – these not only help to save many resources, but also have a positive effect on sales.
Automated texts turn visitors into customers
Before a web shop visitor makes a purchase, he or she wants to find out about the products on the website and collect as much information as possible. Detailed product descriptions, which not only contain the product characteristics but also trigger emotions among customers, are therefore often decisive. Ideally, each product should be labeled with a unique text – which usually costs a lot of time.
In order for the online shop to be able to offer high-quality information quickly, you either have to invest more money in the creation of texts or use automatically generated, i.e. automated texts. Compared to manual texts, automated texts are created within seconds. If the company has good product data at its fingertips, high-quality texts can be quickly created – regardless of whether there are 100 or 10,000 articles in the product range. With such texts, customers can be offered perfect support for purchasing decisions and ensure that they do not have to search the internet for further product information.
Automated texts guarantee unique content
Duplicate content can be dangerous, no matter whether it is published externally or internally: With external duplicate content, the contents of other domains or online shops can appear – not uncommon if other online shops have similar assortments. With internal duplicate content, you simply publish the same text set for similar products – usually for reasons of time. The problem is that Google doesn’t know which website is more important.
If texts for an online shop are produced automatically, there is no duplicate content. All product descriptions are absolutely unique, because text robots work with a wide variety of synonyms, sentence variants and orders. Therefore, punishment by Google for duplicate content must not be feared.
Automated texts provide for filled websites
Even if some shop operators are convinced that visitors never read their texts, every online shop needs good content. The texts must not only contain all product features. Customer benefits must also be communicated. Only such product descriptions act as a magnet for customers.
However, many online shops have the problem that they do not have the capacity to provide all products with high-quality text. Therefore, they fall back on the manufacturer’s texts or create only a small list of the product features. Such texts can usually also be found in competing web shops. With automated texts, online shops can easily set themselves apart from the competition. In this way, each product receives a unique, high-quality text. Since you can automatically create texts in large quantities, the online shop is always filled with good, meaningful and unique content.
Automated texts for more traceability
The retrievability in search engines is one of the most important success factors for online shops. If an online shop has relevant, high-quality content, its findability on the net increases. With the help of correct keywords, visitors can find the product they are looking for more quickly and obtain detailed information about it. This also increases the time it takes to visit the site – a signal to Google that the site is relevant and offers benefits for visitors.
The prerequisite for this are good texts in the online shop, especially good category texts and product descriptions. Ultimately, customers usually don’t look for a particular online shop, but for a specific product. If such texts contain the correct keywords and are detailed and meaningful, they help to improve the findability of the online shop and generate more traffic.
